conditions, with a rapid declining market for this 3-state $60 million
manufacturer of payphone and payphone systems. Played a major role in the
successful resolution of Delloite & Touche's no confidence for the ERP and
accounting systems. Directed IT staff of 6, up to 8, with budgetary and all
corporate systems and applications responsibility. Reported to CFO.
· Resolved no confidence system condition with the creation and implemented
of a cost effective accounting and operations reporting solution, through an
extensive analysis of software alternatives including MySAP (outsourcing
alternatives), Oracle, or current vendor's solution.
· Successfully resolved a Microsoft Software Audit challenge with minimal
software purchases by having implemented a system of proper licensing
management.
· Led the organization through a series of upgrades and consolidations to
capitalize on emerging technologies in all three locations with new LAN/WAN
technology and dissolved inappropriate costly systems, including ecommerce,
to successfully meet a 75% reduction in budgetary requirements.
· Successfully converted all ERP, and internal applications to be Y2K
compliant after receiving a 2-week notice before year-end that internal
applications connected to the ERP were failing testing.
· Effectively negotiated contracts, for capital lease agreements, and new
service level agreements with Cable & Wireless, GTE/Verizon, and Genuity for
unification of phone and data lease lines.
· Changed corporate policy issues by creating a written strategic plan,
outlining policies, procedures and priorities.
